Paperboy.run is an open source suite of markdown tools. Your data belongs to you — not to us, not to advertisers, and certainly not to shadowy third parties lurking behind consent banners.
What We Collect
We do not collect personal data, browsing history, or document contents. The file converter and the markdown viewer run in your browser. The Chrome extension reads page content only when you open the side panel. The command-line edition runs on your own computer.
Site Preferences
This website stores your Morning/Late Edition preference in your browser’s localStorage (not a tracking cookie). We do not request your location, and we do not send page contents off this device.
Browser Extension Permissions
The Chrome extension requests access to all websites so it can read the current page when you open the side panel or click Re-extract. It does not run automatically, does not monitor your browsing, and does not track which pages you visit. The page URL appears in the converted markdown only as a source reference. Clipboard access is used solely for the Copy button. Nothing leaves your device.
Third Parties
Document conversion on this site stays in your browser. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Data Retention
Edition preference persists in your browser until you clear site data. We do not keep copies of the files you convert.
Children
Paperboy is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect information from anyone, this applies equally to all users regardless of age.
Changes
Should this policy ever change, we will update this page and note the effective date above. Given our philosophy, do not hold your breath.
